The Twilight Time

by

By the twilight time, all's golden bright and fadingroads turning redder, as amber, brandy, laughterquiet highs with neighbors, sitting, watching, waitingthe urban energy fading, dissipates together.

Talk show fears and blues azure, hissing records playingturning heavier, as laughter, suburban laughtergrass's thinning layer, like amber, brandy, slanderthe heights of the slow day falling, wayward meander.

In the twilight time the sun pointed straight acrossadobe, brick and mortar, paved thoughts and matters, growing silent faster, till darker times and their incursion turnlights bright as mirrorsin houses alabaster.
