About Gabrielle Nielsen
Gabrielle C. Nielsen is an illustrator and artist based in Baltimore, MD, pursuing a BFA in Illustration and an MAT at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Working across editorial illustration, sequential art, background design, and mixed media, Nielsen's practice synthesizes observed modern life with surreal, imaginative dimensions. Driven by a desire to document transient moments and physical artifacts before they fade, she approaches the sketchbook as both an archival ledger and an experimental testing ground. Nielsen's illustrations have previously appeared in Beaver Magazine and The Baltimore Banner.
