About Emma Newbery
Emma Catherine Newbery (she/her) is a creative writer, audiovisual producer and poet. She is also the founding editor of ShitHang Magazine, which features poetry and flash fiction from emerging writers. Emma is proud to have written for the Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism, Judaism Unbound, Kingston Gallery, The Boston Hassle, Kolture Magazine, and Peachy Den’s inaugural zine Pink Socks. Her debut chapbook, In the Name of the Father, was released in August of 2026. The inaugural issue of ShitHang Magazine will be released in 2027.
