Bryan Kim-Butler is a research assistant at Yale Law School. He was a Ph.D. candidate in English at the University of Michigan, specializing in early and 19th-century American literature. He also holds a J.D. from Columbia University. He lives with his husband in southeastern Michigan. “The Fish in the Dark” is his first fiction publication.
